Technical specifications

This documentation outlines the hardware requirements for MonetaMap, a prototype HTML-based application intended for general consumer use. Unlike traditional software, an HTML application operates primarily within a web browser, shifting hardware demands to client devices and network infrastructure.

MonetaMap is designed to run on a wide range of consumer devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and modern smartphones. These devices typically use x86-64 or ARM-based processors. For desktops and laptops, a dual-core processor (e.g., Intel Core i3 or AMD Ryzen 3) is sufficient for basic usage, while a quad-core processor (e.g., Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5) is recommended for smoother Performance. Minimum of 4 GB of RAM is sufficient, though 8 GB is recommended for optimal performance. No local storage unless downloading data from the app. A stable internet connection is required for loading application resources, interacting with servers, and synchronizing data. A broadband connection with speeds of at least 10 Mbps is recommended for standard usage, while higher speeds improve performance for data-intensive applications.

MonetaMap is a web-based financial planning application designed to help users better understand their financial position through comparison and visualization. Unlike traditional budgeting tools that focus solely on tracking income and expenses, MonetaMap introduces an exploratory approach by using financial averages as a central reference point. The application maps a user’s financial data—such as savings rate, housing costs, debt levels, and investment contributions—against typical benchmarks, allowing users to clearly see how they align with or differ from broader financial norms.
